Care Crawford, Regional Director of CFDM in Los Angeles, has served
as Pastor of Congregational Life at Bel Air Presbyterian Church for
20+ years. She is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary,
where she holds both Master of Divinity and Master of Theology
degrees. At Bel Air Pres, Care oversees the Women’s Ministries, all
the church-wide special events including church retreats and camps,
and shepherds inquirers and candidates under care as they move
toward ordained ministry. In addition, Care is currently Moderator
of the Presbytery of the Pacific and is active in the wider
ministries of her denomination
Care is a frequent speaker at retreats and events and leads training & equipping seminars with churches, Presbyteries, and other organizations in areas of pastoral care, grief and loss, and spiritual formation. She is a trained Spiritual Director through CFDM and has a passion for people to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In her involvement through CFDM, and in her passion for Christian formation & spiritual direction, Care feels she has "come home" to that place in ministry where she is most effective and where she most belongs. She continues in spiritual direction and supervision for her own growth and accountability. Care will be part of the faculty for the January 2008 training in Bel Air. The Los Angeles Regional Network of CFDM is composed of men and women who want to be part of the Network and who are already Directors or are in training to be Directors. CFDM-Los Angeles is working with graduates of the Certificate Program in Christian Formation & Spiritual Direction offered by CFDM, as well as graduates of other training programs, to provide ongoing supervision, evaluation, referral, and continuing partnership for spiritual directors. For information regarding training, joining the network, or referral to a qualified Director, contact the Regional Coordinator. Local Events Various events are planned and resources made available by the Network in response to requests and needs in the region.
